We help ideas take root – like the city’s living mycelium, we weave connections between people, places and green initiatives, letting them grow, intertwine and flourish.

What

GreenGrowPeople is our ideas workshop, from which we develop projects and transform urban spaces with plants and trees. We see ourselves as the forest’s fungal mycelium – not always visible and never centred in a fixed structure. We listen, communicate, and move information through organic pathways.

We thrive in motion across the city’s networks – between small and large green initiatives. We are practitioners in our daily work and at heart, and we work best when ideas are translated and planted out in the real world – in the local neighbourhood and together with others.

Why

Trees, plants and flowers make the city feel alive, organic – and beautiful. We become calmer in green surroundings. The air we breathe improves with trees and plants. Flowers give vital insects food and shelter in the middle of the city’s asphalt, concrete and pulse. Traffic noise is softened by large trees – just as plants soften sound indoors. We find shade from the heat beneath wide canopies and watch the small, wondrous plant life unfold on the windowsill.

Plants are the foundation of almost all life on Earth. Without them, no humans and no animals. They are sensing beings that can feel the direction of light, register vibration and sound, sense the touch of wind and experience pain. Each has its own needs – a bit like us.

Who

We are two green enthusiasts with plenty of ideas and many years of experience in urban gardening, local green politics, green courtyards and project development. Over the years, our paths have crossed again and again throughout Copenhagen, and we’ve collaborated across several green initiatives. We’ve taken long walks, shared countless cups of coffee and dreamed big. We still do. We are passionate about creating green, living spaces and thrive where plants and trees are given room and gentle care. Many people are already doing incredible work to make Copenhagen greener. We join them humbly.
